Ford countinues with its 'square' design; can
you see some 'Squarebird' Thunderbird in this here? Ford advertised
this model year lineup as "the world's most beautifully proportioned
cars".
The Country Squire, as usual, was the top of
the heap for Ford wagons. This year it only came as a nine-passenger
wagon, with the requisite woody look. 24,336 were sold, a small
portion of the 269,338 wagons Ford sold in 1959.
