This was the last year the big 440 V8 engine was available, as well as the last year the Gran Fury badge appeared on a full-size Plymouth. Although the full-size Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth was available for one more year, in 1978, they were disappearing fast. Only 1,194 six passenger wagons like this were made in 1977, along with 3,600 nine-passenger wagons.
